Our caregivers and preschool teachers are amazing, and they each add a unique touch to our team. Their passion for children drives them to provide excellent care and education.
Amidee is our Director here at West!
She has a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology with an emphasis on Child Development and Child/Family Studies. She has been an early childhood teacher for the past 10 years! She also teaches early-childhood training classes to other local providers through the Care About Childcare Program at Utah State University. Amidee has earned a level 10 on the Child Care Professional Development Institute Career Ladder, has an Infant/Toddler Endorsement and has attended many hours of classes and conferences involving early childhood development. Amidee loves working with children of all ages and especially enjoys teaching about empathy and watching them reach developmental milestones. She is is a Cache Valley native, married to her high school sweetheart, & has 4 dogs and a homestead in the country.
Ms. Nia is the teacher for our quaint little Infant Classroom.
Nia has been working with young children since she was a young teenager, working in her mother's childcare.
She went to Weber State to study Nursing, then moved back home and went to Utah State for a bit and still felt that something was missing. So she continued working at her mother's daycare and feels that she has found her niche in working with young children. She has been working with children for over 7 years! She is so excited to be back and doing what she loves - providing care to your children!
She grew up in Cache Valley, has a large family - she is the oldest of 9! She enjoys teaching dance, baking treats and being around her loved ones.
Ms. Rachel is a teacher in our Toddler classroom. She grew up in Nibley and graduated from Mountain Crest High. She attended Snow College studying Family Life and Consumer Education. She then transferred to Utah State where she is finishing up her Bachelors Degree in Family Life & Human Development. She has been working with children in a day care setting for over a year now and absolutely loves it! She got married in June 2016 and loves to spend time with her family and husband in her spare time!
Ms. Kirsten is a teacher in our Toddler classroom!
She moved from Washington State to Logan to attend Utah State University. She is studying early childhood education in hopes of becoming an Early Intervention Specialist. She worked at a residential treatment center for at risk youth before starting at Little Wonders South in September of 2016 and has transferred to West! Ms. Kirsten loves working with children! She recently got married and enjoys rock climbing, hiking, camping, reading
and taking naps!
Ms. Abby has been a part of the Little Wonders Team for a year now working with our 2 year-olds at our North school and has now transferred to West.
Abby is working on her B.S. Degree in Early Childhood Education through USU. She comes to us from Missouri and loves working with young children. In high school she was a nanny for two families. And while in college she has worked as a nanny for multiple families on top of working for Little Wonders. In her spare time she enjoys skiing, rock climbing, yoga, hiking, reading & cooking up new recipes. She has a pet bunny & a pet cat
My name is Chef Omima (Mimi). I am from North Africa, Sudan, but I was born in the U.S. My husband is from New York. We have a 10 year old son. I worked in the kitchen at the Sunshine Terrace Foundation for 9 years as a dietary specialist. I finished my education at Utah State University in Nutrition and Food Science.
